Boris AAF Transfer v2 Now Available

Boris AAF Transfer provides a set of two Final Cut Pro plug-ins for transferring sequences between Final Cut Pro and Avid editing and finishing systems.
One of the plug-ins exports Avid-compatible AAF format files from Final Cut Pro to Avid. The other plug-in imports AAF format files from Avid to Final Cut Pro.

Using Boris AAF Transfer, Avid and Final Cut Pro editors can exchange projects that include transitions, effects, image and time warps, 3rd-party effects, and keyframes. Avid’s AMA architecture gives Avid users direct access to many popular QuickTime formats while Final Cut Pro users can access Avid MXF files using Calibrated Software’s Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OS X. AAF Transfer supports online and offline workflows.

Unique Boris AAF Transfer advantages include:

* Boris Continuum Complete Support. Transfer BCC filters and transitions that were applied to clips while retaining all of the keyframed changes. The BCC filters are seamlessly transferred as long as the corresponding BCC effect is present in the host application where the transferred sequence is opened.

* Avid DS Compatibility. Boris AAF Transfer can exchange live program sequences between Final Cut Pro and Avid DS – with media, markers, cuts, dissolves, filters, and audio preserved. Boris AAF Transfer also supports Avid Media Composer, Avid Symphony, and Avid NewsCutter.

* Transfer Modes. Preserve transfer modes between Final Cut Pro and Avid editing and finishing systems that include the Boris Continuum Complete Composite filter.

* Two Plug-Ins for One Low Price. Exchange sequences between Final Cut Pro and Avid for just $299.
